MicroMood: Case Study

Overview

MicroMood is a Maya plugin designed to help animators capture psychologically authentic microexpressions in digital characters. Grounded in Paul Ekman's research on involuntary, universal facial expressions, it gives artists intuitive controls to blend and layer subtle emotional states, bringing the kind of fleeting, real human moments seen in understated screen performances into production-ready 3D animation.
